UPS Driver Sees Note On Package, Helps Save Mom And 3-Year-Old Child

A UPS driver has been hailed by cops in Franklin County, Missouri, for saving a woman who had allegedly been beaten by her husband and held captive in her home for 15 hours.

According to court documents obtained by KMOV, the abuse started in their home near Robertsville, and the husband beat her, sexually abused her, held a gun to her head and threatened to kill her before he dragged her back into the house by her hair when she attempted to run away.

Court records state that he took her phone and then locked her and their 3-year-old child in a room with no food or water the entire time.

When the UPS driver showed up at the house in the morning to pick up a package, he saw the “contact 911” message the woman had written on the box before answering the door and handing it over.

The husband’s identity has been kept secret to avoid revealing the woman’s identity. He was charged with domestic assault, sodomy, felonious restraint, unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.

A cash bond of $100,000 was set.

The quick thinking and compassion of the UPS driver in this harrowing situation truly saved lives. It’s a reminder that sometimes heroes come in unexpected forms, like a delivery driver just doing his job. The woman and her child are now safe thanks to his intervention.

It’s horrifying to think about the abuse and trauma this woman endured at the hands of her husband. No one should have to live in fear and captivity like that. It’s a stark reminder of the prevalence of domestic violence and the importance of looking out for one another.

The fact that the woman was able to discreetly leave a message for help on a package shows incredible resourcefulness and courage. It’s a testament to her strength and determination to protect herself and her child. And it’s a reminder that help can come from unexpected places, like a note on a UPS package.

The actions of the UPS driver also highlight the importance of being aware of our surroundings and taking action if something doesn’t seem right. If he had ignored the message or brushed it off, the outcome could have been much different. It’s a powerful reminder to trust our instincts and not be afraid to speak up if we suspect someone is in danger.

Domestic violence is a serious issue that affects far too many people. It’s important to be aware of the signs of abuse and to know how to help someone who may be in a dangerous situation. The UPS driver in this story is a shining example of how a simple act of kindness and awareness can make a life-saving difference.

We can all learn from his example and strive to be more vigilant and compassionate in our own lives. It’s a reminder that we all have the power to make a difference, even in the most unlikely of circumstances.
