THE SIN OF CREMATION according to the Bible says

Cremation unsettles many Christians because it forces a confrontation with what we really believe about the body, the soul, and resurrection. Scripture consistently honors the body as God’s creation and the “temple of the Holy Spirit,” and the biblical pattern clearly favors burial. Yet nowhere does the Bible declare that burning a body is a sin or a barrier to eternal life. The God who formed humanity from dust is not threatened by ashes.

What ultimately matters is the posture of the heart, not the method of interment. A cremation chosen in prayer, humility, and trust in Christ does not sever a believer from God’s promises. Whether a body rests in a grave or an urn, Christian hope looks beyond decay to the resurrection. In that hope, families are free to grieve, to decide, and to entrust their loved ones fully to the God who remembers every particle of their being.
