Ewen’s last social media post revealed the struggles he was facing with a health problem, prompting an outpouring of support from concerned fans. Messages of love and well wishes flooded in, with Max Rushden from talkSPORT tweeting, “Sending you all the best, mate x,” and actress Holli Dempsey expressing, “Sending love and healing vibes to ya Ewen xx.”

Just a month before his passing, fans were delighted to see Ewen make a cameo appearance on the show “After Life.” Reprising his beloved character Keith as “Buffet Man,” Ewen brought back the office humor and wit that fans adored. In a statement released by JustRight Management, Ewen MacIntosh’s management, it was confirmed that he passed away peacefully, expressing gratitude to all those who supported him, particularly Willow Green Care Home. The family plans to hold a private cremation for close friends and family, followed by a celebratory memorial later in the year.

Countless tributes have poured in for Ewen MacIntosh, with close friend Ricky Gervais tweeting, “Very sad news. Ewen MacIntosh, who many people knew as ‘Big Keith’ from The Office, died. He was very funny and very nice. An absolute original. RIP.”

CEO of Dodged A Bullet Music and another dear friend of Ewen’s, Ed Scott, shared his devastation at the loss. Describing Ewen as kind, honest, and empathetic, Ed emphasized that it was the person inside that he would always remember.

Ewen’s character Keith, with his witty one-liners, sarcastic remarks, and infamous obsession with Scotch eggs, captured the hearts of fans throughout the show’s run.

In an interview, Ewen humorously shared, “The props guy nipped out and bought them [Scotch eggs] last minute,” revealing the behind-the-scenes hilarity that was an essential part of his comedic talent.
