Medical Community Surprised by Late Detection

Many health professionals have voiced concern over how far the disease had progressed before detection. Prostate cancer is widely regarded as one of the more easily diagnosed cancers in its early stages, especially through standard screenings such as PSA (Prostate-Specific Antigen) blood tests.

Dr. Howie Forman, a professor at Yale University, noted that a cancer with this level of advancement typically develops over a longer period and should have been caught during regular screenings. Other experts pointed out that standard prostate exams for men over 50 could have picked up warning signs earlier.
