After years of persuasion from her husband to change her hairstyle, Rosa Ramirez remained steadfastly proud of her 1.5-meter-long hair. However, after 25 years, she finally decided it was time for a change.
Accompanied by friends, Rosa visited a hairdresser and cut her hair to shoulder length, marking a major transformation. Eda Motchka, owner of the salon, shared her excitement: “We love seeing different styles on customers. We meet often, and I always saw her the same way, so this was a refreshing change.”
Rosa’s decision wasn’t just about embracing a new look; it had a deeper purpose. She donated 4 feet of her hair to Locks of Love, a nonprofit organization that creates wigs for children who have lost their hair due to cancer.
“I think it would brighten someone’s day, especially someone suffering from a serious illness,” Rosa explained, feeling gratified to make a meaningful contribution to those in need.
