Now, the President of the United States has made another move, threatening to revoke O’Donnell’s citizenship. It didn’t take long for the comedian to answer.
Shortly before Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, American-born comedian and actress Rosie O’Donnell had decided that enough was enough. Speaking with CNN at the time, she stated that she and her nonbinary child wouldn’t be safe in the US anymore, and therefore decided to move to Ireland.
“I knew after reading Project 2025 that if Trump got in, it was time for me and my nonbinary child to leave the country,” she said. “I have no regrets. Not a day has gone by that I thought it was the wrong decision. I was welcomed with open arms.”
