People are now coming out as ‘Nebulasexual’

For neurodivergent people whose inner worlds already feel overloaded, nebulasexual isn’t a trend; it’s a mirror. It names the static, the uncertainty, the way desire can feel more like data than emotion. They’re not “confused” in a casual way—it’s an ongoing, structural blur, where attraction, aesthetics, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts overlap until nothing is clearly one thing or another.

The backlash, though, reveals something just as real: exhaustion with labels, fear of fragmentation, and nostalgia for simpler categories that never truly fit everyone. Yet language has always expanded to hold human complexity, not to create it. For many, nebulasexual doesn’t build a new box; it opens a window. It says: you are not broken for feeling fog where others feel lightning. You are allowed to exist, even if your desire has never learned to speak in straight lines.
