Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson are reportedly enjoying each other’s company as their connection subtly develops, suggesting that a new romance is emerging in Hollywood.
While filming “The Naked Gun” earlier this year, Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson apparently fell in love and are currently dating.
Although their nascent romance is still in its early phases, a source exclusively told People that “it’s sincere, and it’s clear they’re smitten with each other.”
As they get ready for the debut of their new comedy film, which opens in theatres on Friday, August 1, 2025, Neeson, 73, and Anderson, 58, have been spending time together.
A Change of Heart for Neeson
Neeson has already said that after his wife, Natasha Richardson, passed away in 2009, he stopped dating. But apparently Anderson had second thoughts.
In October 2024, Neeson told a journalist who asked if he’d been dating, “No, in a word. I’m past all that.”
Between 1994 and her passing at the age of 45, Neeson and Richardson were wed. Neeson met Freya St. Johnston, a publicist located in the United Kingdom, more than a year after Richardson’s death, but their romance lasted just two years.
As he and Anderson continue to enjoy each other’s company, it appears that Neeson has discovered the exception to his earlier assertion.
Neeson and Anderson’s Budding Chemistry
“What’s the deal here?” Craig Melvin asked the couple when they went on “TODAY” to promote their film. He was alluding to the fact that Neeson and Anderson are both unmarried despite their obvious on-screen chemistry.
“What?” replied Anderson trying to dodge the question. “I don’t understand the question.”
Neeson chose to respond, stating that he and Anderson had never met until their shoot. That’s where they found their “lovely, budding chemistry.”
Anderson quickly agreed. “It’s like, ‘Oh, this is nice. Let’s not mold this. Let’s just let it breathe,’” the “Taken” actor continued. “And that’s what we did.”
The subtle yet telling response got Melvin excited. “We’re watching the beginning of the breathing of a budding relationship,” he said. “America’s here for it, we’re here for whatever this turns into,” he added.
Fans React Positively
It’s true what Melvin said — America seems to be delighted by Neeson and Anderson’s apparent romance. “They are clearly smitten with each other. Two famous people from totally different backgrounds. Beautiful couple. Hope that love lasts. [sic]” one fan gushed.
“Yay! It is time for him to move on and for her to be with a real man. I wish them well! May they survive Hollywood!” another supporter echoed. “Somehow already it seems like this couple is going to last, [sic]” a third person wrote.
Many admirers have expressed their satisfaction about the developing romance, and the mood on the internet has been overwhelmingly favourable. Fans are ecstatic, with some expressing hope that their love will last and others congratulating them on their shared right to happiness.
Still, some couldn’t help but remember Neeson’s late wife. “They’re cute but I always loved Natasha Richardson,” one netizen commented.
From On-Screen Chemistry to a Budding Romance
Neeson and Anderson have been actively promoting their film. In a People cover interview, the 73-year-old actor couldn’t contain his enthusiasm for his co-star, saying:
“With Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her. She’s just terrific to work with. I can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you.”
The “Taken” star also praised Anderson’s professionalism, “No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She’s funny and so easy to work with. She’s going to be terrific in the film.”
Neeson plays Frank Drebin Jr. in the reboot, who is most likely the son of Frank Drebin, played by Leslie Nielsen. He is opposite a “femme fatale” played by Anderson.
Despite not confirming their relationship, Anderson and Neeson’s behaviour has been self-evident. They may be more than just co-stars, as evidenced by the PDA they displayed at a number of their film premieres.
Many fans believe romance may be in the air after Anderson and Neeson’s surprising display of affection during the July 21, 2025, U.K. premiere of the “The Naked Gun” revival.
The actors posed together on the red carpet at Cineworld Leicester Square for group photos during the event. Anderson wore a deep purple, strapless gown with a flowing, floor-length skirt that exuded effortless elegance. Voluminous blond curls and glittering drop earrings finish off her sophisticated ensemble, which radiates classic Hollywood glitz.
Wearing a grey corduroy suit, a casual black crewneck shirt, and black shoes, Neeson maintained a classic look. Images of the couple grinning broadly, with Anderson leaning in to kiss Neeson on the cheek and Neeson’s hand resting on Anderson’s back, quickly went viral.
While neither star has addressed the moment publicly, social media quickly erupted with speculation. “They already look like a happily married couple,” one fan commented on Extra’s Facebook post. Another remarked, “She looks like his late wife!” a reference to Natasha Richardson, Neeson’s late spouse.
“I’m glad liam [sic] has moved on and finally found love again,” another supporter added. On MTV UK’s Facebook post, fans echoed the excitement. “They have undeniable chemistry,” one fan wrote. “She looks smitten,” another said. A third gushed, “I think they would be perfect together, the way he looks at her and the little peck on the cheek how sweet [sic].”
On Instagram, fans continued the romantic speculation. “Pamela needs a good love story at this time in her life,” read one comment. A final comment read, “She looks so giggity, it’s kinda cute ”
Fans are buzzing with hope after his touching red carpet moment with Anderson, even though he has stated that he is no longer looking to date. Even though the premiere was for a comedic remake, many people saw it as the beginning—or at least a hint—of a new chapter.
