The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City will host the 2023 Economic Policy Symposium from Thursday through Saturday. This year’s theme will be “Structural Transitions in the Global Economy”. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is scheduled to address the conference on Friday.
Economic data released this week will include the Manufacturing and Services PMIs for August on Wednesday. Both are expected to decline from their levels in July.
Other releases will include National Association of Realtors existing home sales for July on Tuesday, new home sales data for July on Wednesday, the Census Bureau’s Durable Goods report for July on Thursday, and the University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index for August. Friday.

Nvidia announces fiscal second-quarter results after market close on Wednesday. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect the chip company to report earnings per share of $2.08, compared to earnings per share of 51 cents for the year-ago quarter. Nvidia shares have tripled this year.
