Since then,  there has been no communication with her , and her parents, relatives, friends, and authorities are conducting an intense search that, so far, has yielded no conclusive results.

According to her mother,  María Teresa Ruiz , Sofía left school around 2:30 p.m., as she did every day, heading home, which is located a few blocks away. However,  she never arrived . “We thought maybe she had been hanging out with a friend, but hours passed and we didn’t know anything. Her cell phone has been off ever since. She doesn’t answer messages, calls, or anything. It’s as if the earth had swallowed her up,” her mother said through tears.

The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office  has already activated the Amber Alert and released a file with the minor’s information:
