Folks, here’s an event that’s been around for 30 years

Good weather continued on into Friday, when an increase in activity was evident.

The neighbors’ parking and camping areas were starting to fill up…

live bands made their appearances, ace MC, the one and only…POGO arrived on the scene, doing what he has a special knack for…talking the ladies out of their clothing. Body painters were also operating.

The sweet smell of campfires now filled the air…number 30 was off to a pretty good start!! In the evening, a giant American Flag was centered on the front stage, and signed by hundreds of chili partiers.

This flag is to be presented to a pre-selected outfit fighting in Afghanistan! There was a huge line of signers for that one…it makes ya pretty proud!!

30 years. That’s how long this event has been bringing people together for a weekend of fun, music, and chili. And this year was no different. As the sun shone down on the festivities, the energy was palpable.

Neighbors came from near and far, setting up their parking and camping spots, ready to enjoy the weekend ahead. Live bands took the stage, with the one and only POGO as the master of ceremonies. His charm and wit had the crowd laughing and cheering as he worked his magic on stage.

But it wasn’t just music and entertainment that filled the air. The sweet smell of campfires wafted through the crowd, adding to the ambiance of the event. And as evening fell, a giant American Flag was proudly displayed on the stage, signed by hundreds of chili lovers. This flag was not just for show – it was to be sent to a military outfit serving in Afghanistan as a token of appreciation. The line of people eager to sign was a testament to the support and pride felt for those serving our country.

As the night went on, the party continued. People danced, laughed, and enjoyed the company of friends and strangers alike. The sense of community was strong, with everyone coming together to celebrate this milestone year.

It’s events like these that remind us of the power of coming together. Whether it’s to enjoy music, chili, or simply each other’s company, there’s something special about being part of a community that has been going strong for 30 years. And as the weekend came to a close, the memories made and friendships formed will last a lifetime.

So here’s to 30 years of fun, laughter, and chili. May this event continue to bring people together for many more years to come. Cheers to the organizers, the performers, and everyone who makes this event possible. Here’s to another 30 years of memories in the making.
