Donald Trump dementia fears spike as doctor makes new dire claims

Donald Trump has been claimed to be in excellent health. However, in later years, worries about his well-being have been made several times. Just in the last months, claims about him possibly wearing a catheter, among other things, have been discussed – and now, a doctor has claimed the president shows signs of dementia.

Donald Trump is the oldest President of the United States to start a second term at the White House. But even though people have had their doubts about whether he’s fit to be in office or not, in April, White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella revealed a report that claimed Trump is fully fit to be Commander-in-Chief.

The report stated that Trump’s height and weight were 75 inches and 224 pounds and that scans of the eyes, ears, neck, throat, and heart were regular. Meanwhile, Barbabella shared that the president underwent a colonoscopy in 2024.

During that doctor’s visit, it was also revealed that Trump had a benign polyp and diverticulitis, an inflammation in the pockets of the colon. It was then decided that he would undergo a follow-up colonoscopy in three years.

Donald Trump’s medical report also revealed that he had several medications., including prescriptions for cholesterol, a cardiac prevention medicine, and a cream to use as needed for a “skin condition.”

Moreover, Barbabella noted that Trump had bilateral cataract surgery at some point, adding that the president is in “robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function.” He concluded that Trump’s “active lifestyle is helping his well-being.”

Donald Trump medical exam
“President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Health of State,” Barbabella said in April.

Trump told reporters shortly after the exam, “I took a cognitive test. And I don’t know what to tell you, other than I got every answer right. I took just a lot of different tests, having to do with the heart, having to do with other things.”

While some questioned how authentic the latest medical evaluation Trump underwent was, one doctor now claims that Donald Trump might not be as healthy as he says he is. Per The Irish Star, psychologist Dr. John Gartner, a specialist, claims that Trump’s motor skills appear to be deteriorating.

Moreover, sightings of Trump possibly concealing a catheter under his pants could be an indicator that the President of the United States is battling a specific type of dementia known as frontotemporal dementia.

“When we talk about deterioration from dementia, I was focusing on language because that’s the thing we most observe, but also we always see deterioration in motor performance,” Dr. John Gartner said on The Dean Obeidallah Show, per the Irish Star.

Doctor claims Donald Trump might have dementia
The doctor further stated that there has been a noticeable decline in Donald Trump’s coordination in recent years. Moreover, Gartner looked at old footage of the President as part of outlining three key symptoms that could mean Trump is developing dementia: He tumbles and falls, swings his leg, and how his left leg is working.

“We found some of him doing athletic activities in the 80s. I have a film of him playing volleyball, diving to dig the ball and popping up and hitting a high shot, he was very coordinated,” he said. “And now, you know he really does have trouble getting up the stairs, he does trip and fall.”

“I hate to do a gotcha thing, ‘Oh he tripped on the stairs,’ but no, his gait is slow, he is falling,” he continued, observing that Donald Trump has quite an unusual way of walking.

“The other things that’s actually even more diagnostic, and I had a neurologist point this out and then several neurologists confirmed it, if you watch the way he walks, he has what they call a leg swing, where his right he kind of swings it in a semicircle like it’s a dead weight, and he’s just kind of swinging it around,” he continued.

“Absolutely convinced”
“It’s very apparent in some tape and not so much in others, but that right leg swing is considered to be very diagnostic of a specific type of dementia, frontotemporal dementia,” Gartner added.

The expert concluded that he had spoken with another colleague, Dr. Zoffman, who said she is “absolutely convinced that it’s frontotemporal dementia that he has because of that telltale right leg swing.”
