In a segment from Dan Bongino’s podcast, the Dan Bongino Show, aired on February 2, the host expressed his concerns regarding foreign fraud related to social security. Bongino, who is anticipated to take on the role of Deputy Director of the FBI, contends that immigrants are exploiting counterfeit social security numbers to swindle taxpayers out of millions in benefits. Viewers online shared their own experiences with benefits fraud in response.

“He uncovered a foreign fraud network within our entitlement system. Even if you are not opposed to government waste and actually support it, I would advise against using a negative term to describe it,” he stated while introducing the clip. “If you are in favor of government waste, at least let it be wasted on U.S. citizens, right? Unfortunately, it seems that the left is indifferent. Take a look at this.”

“As we are aware, there is a significant amount of fraud occurring in this country. For instance, there are foreign fraud rings comprised of non-citizens who enter the United States,” Stephen Miller remarked in a clip featured on the podcast. “They utilize fake social security numbers and false identities to pilfer billions in taxpayer-funded benefits.” He also provided details on how this fraudulent activity is executed.

“It is difficult to ascertain the exact amount of money involved until DOGE gains full access, but over a typical ten-year budget period, we could potentially save over a trillion dollars by addressing the extensive fraud within our tax and entitlement systems, including those perpetrated by organized crime and theft rings,” he elaborated. “A crucial aspect to understand is that DOGE consists of subordinate staff members within the federal government. They are political appointees, similar to myself and others in the White House who serve under the President. Therefore, we are not discussing an external private organization; we are referring to the current federal staff executing their duties.”Bongino posed a thought-provoking question: “Can you envision battling this?” Social media users quickly responded. One commenter remarked, “The entire world has profited by exploiting the American taxpayer, and our government orchestrated this while misleading We the People into believing it is our debt. This debt should be assigned solely to the estates of every federally elected official since 1960.”

Another user shared their frustration: “My 40-year-old son, who is eight months into a 40-month disability qualification process due to permanent heart damage, has now been informed that he requires another echocardiogram (the previous one indicated a heart function of 22%), in addition to a six-minute stress test and another cardiologist evaluation. While I support the need for verifications, the timing of this extended process is absurd.” They continued, “Baylor Heart Center is ready to place him on the transplant list, yet healthcare insurance continues to deny coverage for his necessary treatments. It makes you question how others in similar situations are managing. Thankfully, my son has us for food and shelter, but trying to maintain a job to afford insurance premiums is overwhelming for him.” They concluded, “There is no government assistance whatsoever. I can hardly bear to think about his mental health. Nevertheless, we do what we can to support him and keep him in our prayers.”
