CBS weather reporter fired after Elon Musk ‘Nazi salute’ comments

A Milwaukee weather presenter, Sam Kuffel, was let go by WDJT-TV just one day after calling Elon Musk a “Nazi” on social media. The controversy stemmed from Musk’s gesture at a gathering, which some internet users likened to a Nazi salute. Kuffel’s post, which included a GIF from *It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia*, led to backlash, with conservative radio host Dan O’Donnell criticizing her for spreading misinformation.

Kuffel had been with the station for over five years before her abrupt departure. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) defended Musk, stating his gesture was awkward but not a Nazi salute. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also supported Musk, emphasizing his strong ties to Israel and defense of the Jewish state.
