New York Attorney General Letitia James is reportedly housing several family members with criminal records at properties she owns in Virginia, according to documents obtained by the New York Post.
The development comes as James faces federal charges related to those same properties. Among the relatives living there is her grand-niece, 21-year-old Cayla Thompson-Hairston, who is facing legal issues of her own.
Court filings indicate that Thompson-Hairston was charged in April 2024 with providing false information about her felony record while attempting to purchase a firearm in Suffolk, Va., The Post reported.The charge against Thompson-Hairston stems from allegations that she falsified information on federal paperwork while attempting to purchase a firearm.
