Franchesca Carolain Núñez Cepeda, an 18-year-old student, was returning from school, unaware that death awaited her. A reckless driver of a heavy vehicle crashed the motorcycle she was riding in, killing her.
The incident occurred on República de Colombia Avenue near “Los Callejones,” across from the Botanical Garden.
Despite having caused the tragic accident, the truck driver did not stop at any time after crashing his engine and running over the 18-year-old student who was finishing her high school studies.
Passersby were saddened to see Franklin Yoel Núñez, the young woman’s father, weeping inconsolably as he hugged his daughter’s body.
Passersby and people who knew the young woman hope that authorities will identify the reckless driver and bring him to the fullest extent of the law.
