The White House has released the results of President Donald Trump’s latest medical, and says he ‘remains in excellent health’.

Capt. Sean Barbabella is the White House physician, and shared a summary of the results of the president’s latest physical.

“His active lifestyle continues to contribute significantly to his well-being,” he wrote.

The physician also credited the fact that Trump regularly participates in meetings, public appearances and press availability add to his health.

He continued, explaining that these appearances are beneficial, along with ‘frequent victories in golf events’.

“President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” the report concluded.

The 78-year-old president underwent the medical exam at last Friday at the Walter Reed Hospital, as a follow-up to a check in 2023, where only limited results were given.

His last annual physical as President took place back in June 2020, and at that time he weighed 244 pounds, and his blood pressure was 121 over 79.

In comparison, Barbabella says at his latest medical he has weighed in at 224 pounds, and his blood pressure was 128 over 74.

He also underwent a comprehensive neurological examination, which revealed ‘no abnormalities in his mental status’.

The note also confirmed no other ‘significant abnormalities’ were found, apart from ‘exception of scaring [sic] on the right ear from a gunshot wound’, referring to the gunshot wound he received at the assassination attempt in July 2024.

It was also revealed that he had undergone a colonoscopy in July 2024, which found diverticulosis and a benign polyp.

The information was released after the White House press secretary had promised to share details ‘as soon as we possibly can’.

At 78 years old, Trump is technically the oldest person to be sworn in as president.

Although Trump is three years younger than Biden, on Inauguration Day of his second term in January of this year, Trump was older than Biden was during his 2021 inauguration by five months.

This made him the oldest person to be sworn into office.

“I have never felt better, but nevertheless, these things must be done!” Trump said of the requirement for the physical.

He was reported to have spent more than 5 hours at the medical centre, although it wasn’t confirmed how long the procedures actually took.

Trump had questioned his predecessor Joe Biden’s health and mental faculties repeatedly over the years.

Back in 2023, the Trump team released a letter to coincide with Biden’s 81st birthday.

Dr Bruce A Aronwald wrote that Trump was in ‘excellent’ physical and mental health.

It did not mention any specific statistics, but instead noted that his ‘physical exams were well within the normal range and his cognitive exams were exceptional’, and that Trump had ‘reduced his weight’.

“I can confirm the president is in very good shape,” Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said of the latest tests.

She further confirmed that Trump wasn’t placed under anaesthesia.

Back in 2018, a White House physician told Trump he needed to shed weight and start a daily exercise routine.

Much has been made over the years of the President’s diet, with him regularly being photographed eating large buckets of KFC and a well documented love of Diet Coke.
