It’s not surprising, though, since Donald Trump has been the most controversial presidential candidate ever during his three election runs. Whether you love him or hate him, you definitely have an opinion. His charm and the way people are drawn to him mean that every little thing he does gets analyzed and picked apart to figure out what’s really happening.
This attention even extends to his family. Just this week, the internet went wild with stories about the rarely seen Barron Trump, while many right-wing supporters are trying to get closer to Donald, hoping some of his popularity will rub off on them.
Melania Trump has been a strong figure during her husband’s first two campaigns and his time in the White House. However, things seem to have changed recently. Maybe it was the chaos that followed her husband’s wild comments after losing the 2020 election, or the shocking attack on democracy that happened at the Capitol. There’s also the scandal involving hush money related to her husband’s affair with Stormy Daniels that could have played a part.
There are many reasons why Melania might have decided to step back and stay out of the spotlight instead of standing next to her husband like a lifeless mannequin. Her absence is noticeable, and people are starting to wonder if she will even move back into the White House if Donald becomes president again. The official story is that she wants to be there for their son, Barron, who is now 18 and in college.
Recently, the Trumps shared a family photo after Donald’s win over Kamala Harris, but Melania was missing from it. Donald Trump Jr.’s oldest child, Kai, posted a picture with almost everyone in the Trump family, including Elon Musk, and called it “The whole squad.” Many people on social media noticed Melania wasn’t there and questioned why she wasn’t included.
However, Melania made an appearance on election day in 2024, standing by her husband’s side as he delivered his victory speech from West Palm Beach.
Kimberly Guilfoyle was present, but not really there when the photo was snapped. She has been engaged to Donald Trump Jr. since 2021, but she wasn’t included in the picture taken on election night, even though his ex-wife, Vanessa Trump, was there.
