An elderly gentleman goes for a check-up

An elderly gentleman goes for a check-up. After his exam the doctor said to the to the old fella, “You appear to be in good health. Do you have any medical concerns you would like to ask me about?”

“In fact, I do,” said the old man. “After I have love I am usually hot and sweaty, and then, after I have it with her the second time, I am usually cold and chilly.”

After examining the old man’s elderly wife, the doctor said, “Everything appears to be fine. Do you have any medical concerns that you would like to discuss with me?”

The lady replied that she had no questions or concerns. But the doctor then said to her: “Your husband had an unusual concern. He claims that he is usually hot and sweaty after having love with you the first time, and then cold and chilly after the second time.Do you know why?”

“Oh that crazy old bastard, she replied. “That’s because the first time is usually in August, and the second time is in January…”.

The doctor couldn’t help but chuckle at the witty response from the elderly woman. It was clear that even after many years of marriage, their sense of humor and playful banter was still very much alive.

This simple check-up appointment turned out to be quite entertaining for the doctor, who couldn’t help but appreciate the lightheartedness of the elderly couple. It was a reminder that laughter and love are truly the best medicine, no matter what age you are.

As the elderly couple left the doctor’s office, the doctor couldn’t help but feel a sense of warmth and happiness. It was moments like these that made being a doctor so rewarding – not just for the medical care provided, but for the human connections made along the way.

The elderly gentleman may have come in for a routine check-up, but he left with a smile on his face and a funny story to tell. And the doctor? Well, he gained a newfound appreciation for the power of love, laughter, and a good sense of humor.

So, the next time you find yourself at the doctor’s office, take a moment to lighten the mood with a joke or a funny story. You never know, it might just make both your day and the doctor’s day a little brighter. After all, laughter is contagious – and who knows, it might just be the best medicine for whatever ails you.
