2-year-old Arkansas girl be4ten to de4th

Our children are our most precious gifts, and the story of little Ava Ann Marie Tabor is heartbreaking. At just two years old, Ava was a joyful child, loved by everyone around her. Tragically, her life was taken in an unimaginable way, leaving her family devastated.

Ava was born on November 28, 2022, in Texarkana, Texas, and grew up in De Queen, Arkansas. Full of life, she loved to dance, help in the kitchen, and had an infectious smile. Ava was adored by her parents, Levi and Kylie, and brought happiness wherever she went.

In early March, Wesley Davis, 19, was babysitting Ava when she became unresponsive. Davis called for help, and first responders found her in critical condition. He later confessed to beating her, and was arrested. Ava was rushed to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, but despite doctors’ efforts, she passed away on March 4, 2025.

Her mother, Kylie, shared a heart-wrenching farewell, mourning the loss of daily moments with Ava. Authorities charged Davis with first-degree murder, and his bond was set at $1 million.

Kylie Perez continues to fight for justice for her daughter, vowing that Davis will be held accountable. “My baby did not deserve this,” she said. “And he deserves every bad thing that’s coming to him. I will not stop until he gets it.”

The tragedy has deeply affected the community, leaving people in shock. Sheriff Robert Gentry acknowledged the anger and sorrow, noting that Davis has received multiple death threats. “There have been threats of bodily harm,” he revealed.

Authorities are urging the public to respect the legal process, assuring justice will be served. “She didn’t deserve what happened, and we will ensure the judicial system holds him accountable,” Sheriff Gentry said.

In a final act of kindness, Ava’s family decided to donate her organs, leaving a lasting legacy. They hope her life will continue through those she has helped.

A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at Chandler Funeral Home in De Queen, Arkansas. A visitation will take place the evening before, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The pain of losing a child is indescribable, and no words can lessen the heartbreak Ava’s family feels. Her tragic loss highlights the need for better protection for children. As her family grieves, the community stands with them in solidarity, seeking justice for Ava.

How anyone could harm an innocent child is unfathomable. Ava Ann Marie Tabor deserved a life full of love and joy. May she rest in peace, and may her family find comfort in the memories they shared with her.
